Yesterday, we ate ten-don @ Ten-ya. I don’t mean tendon as of tendon achilles, but donburi dish with tempura in Japanese word.
Although most tempura restaurant is relatively formal, Ten-ya is more casual. It serves variety of tendon dishes at low price (500 yen – 800 yen with miso soup). Its popular dish “tendon”(500 yen) has tempura of shrimp, calamary, sand borer, pumpkin and butter bean on top of rice.
Ten-ya has many branch restaurant around Tokyo and its tendon tastes pretty good. So we occasionally have dinner at one.
